Swimwear Trends 2022

Despite the summer coming to an end in New Zealand, we are still shopping for that perfect bikini or swimsuit to take on that holiday we hope we can have this year. If not, there's always the hot tub right?!

Not sure if it because I run a swimwear brand and Facebook targeting knows what I'm into, but it seems like in 2022 there are so many new swimwear brands cropping up. My Facebook and Instagram feed is full of bikinis! With so many styles to choose from it can be hard to make a choice, so I've compiled a list of the top 5 Hottest Swimwear trends you need to know about in 2022. 

1. Belts

If you love accentuating your waistline for that classic hourglass silhouette, the swimwear trend you need to know about is belted swimsuits. It’s flattering on most shapes and adds a little glamour to your basic one piece. Pair this with a high leg cut to add the illusion of longer legs.

2. Backless

High necked, long sleeves and backless. It really doesn't get any more sophisticated than this. You can take this style from the beach to the bar. Just add shorts and heels.

3. Long sleeves

For those that like to be sun smart, you'll be pleased to hear that long sleeved wetsuit style one pieces are really on trend again this year. Sleek and sporty, you can be as active as you like and know you are covered.

4. Neon

Bright colours are really hot right now, and can make the tan really pop. They work on most skin tones and really just make you feel like summer personified when you put them on.
